Icon Files Generate Errors in Browsers

Just wanted to let everyone know that whilst you may end up with a 16 x 16 file with the extension .ico, its not a true icon file. Its just a renamed .png. This will generate errors in some browsers when placed as the favicon of a particular site youre working on. Do not trust this as a true icon file. Ive had to go back and rename the files to png, and run them through other true icon conversion software, not just a resizer and renamer.

The error youll get is Image corrupt or truncated: , you can view this through the console of several browsers as an error.
